Had a rather fruitful weekend. =) Lianhe Wanbao's Beauty and Healthcare fair is finally over.

Day 1: THE BIG IMPORTANT DAY. And I was slightly late for work all becuase I don't really know what to dress for that day since it comprises of the opening ceremony with a minister coming... Aiyo. I'm really inexperienced come to think of it. Saw how the exhibitors set up their booths and hurried to report to the registration desk. Hello Kitty Auntie ( she has tons of hello Kitty stuff displayed on her office desk.. I was pretty amazed actually, esp when she's a mother too... ) , Huifen and Li Er helped me out with the registration of the invited guests.

The process didn't go too well, cos I printed out the guest list in alphabetical order of their companies instead of names. Aiyo. I was stupid. So stupid. And thankfully the three ladies help me out .. cos I couldn't recognize the invited internal staff >.< HAiz.

On the other hand, I finally get to meet the people instead of chatting with them through phone. =) It felt great to meet them, more real in fact. Some of the people in higher level of management really know how to make themselves presentable, esp those in the beauty salons line. Eye- opener.

Tea-reception at the Blue Pacific Lounge was great! They had salmon sandwiches, fruits tarts with chocolate as the wrap... delicious stuff =) Then I had to park myself in the organiser's office for the rest of the day to answer any enquiries. Any. From complains to "where is the toilet?".

Get to know Jo jo from Pico. Very friendly and nice gal =)

Met Xingrong. Chatted about his current job in M&M. Found out that the organization of the company is terrible even though the company actually handles quite a few large projects in Singapore. Sad. Cos I've thought about joining event companies. Guess I will stick to SPH if I'm that lucky. =)

Day 2: Met Mr L. Diong in person! He's.. obviously a metrosexual who trims his eyebrows and bodybuilds. Simin and I discussed about possiblities of metrosexuals being ummmmm... not straight. Personally I don't think so ba, they are just as vain as women. >.<

Took 3 kopies from Kim Guan Guan. Sorry auntie. And thank you so very much for the coffee ya =)

Get to play with Sharon's and Chien Ling's kids. They were both so cute!!!!!!!!!! Seriously cute =)

Day 3: Get to see Quan Yifeng in real person =) not too bad actually, but she can be rather direct at times I think. Hmmm..

Think my work in SPH has really been fulfilling. I've learnt alot and seen alot.. Growing =)

And it also gives me a clearer view of what I want to do next time... and the working environment I hope for. =)

Rather exhausted from this whole week..

Even though I'm like holding a tiny position like admin assistant in SPH, but still... the workload is scary. But the super plus point about the job is the people I've met and the people I get to meet soon. People I've met: Da Shu.

Yeah, I call him Da Shu cos he's always calling me xiao mei. I never see Da Shu as a rude term until someone told me that he's actually the creative director of U-i Weekly. A big shot. I was really surprised. And then I was informed that he was in his forties and has a daughter. Even more surprised because he has a super baby face for someone of his age. >.< Aiyo. Da Shu definitely fits him.

Wish work is more interesting instead of just trying to reach my boss's target of getting 200 guests for the official opening. HAiz. At least that's our target for now. And after that... we can only pray that the fair proceeds smoothly.

And hopefully I can know some good doctors to remove my fats. Ho HO.

oops.. >.<

finally blogging again. The second time I managed to since my precious holidays. =)

Ss far I've spent 2 days at work in SPH.

Hmmmm...... I must say it's really good to work for big organizations, because they really do everything the proper way, little things from email to stationary to your own desk and laptop. YEah, I got my own laptop to work with, plus my own hotline. Ho ho ho.. My department is in charge of the Wanbao Beauty and Healthcare fair 2006, and my boss put my name down on the invitation cards so that ppl will call and give their replies to me. -_- nothing glam. hahahha..

But I do feel that the ppl there are pretty nice =) so far didn't experience any office politics. I must admit I'm rather amazed by the working time of the journalists. Super flexible. We don't get to see them in the morning. They are usually off looking for news. It's only in the afternoon you see them sitting at their desks. Then they can work late into the night.... Sometimes I really feel that these kind of jobs, are probably meant for people without kids, or single.. Because you really have no idea when they will knock off..

Pre-camp for Wen hua Ying yesterday. ( played Mafia during lunch.. damn fun!! ) Holding the positions of Logistics and Medic again. Kenna introduced as Chang Jin. Omg, but kamsa-hamnida. =P Honestly I don't really mind any postitions as long as I can take part in the camp with my friends =) it's usually the people that defines the camp. But I guess I can only spend one night with my friends.. unless I can make sure I can wake up early enough to report to work on the wednesday morning. >.< and stay in one piece during work. Hmmm..

Those campers really surprised me in their dressings ya. Super mature for their age. I even saw one wearing formal attire, like how I dressed to work on my first day in SPH. Denim-and-jeans free. Aiyo. I feel that qing chun shi ta men de ben qian, should dress as teens not adults..

Anyway, today is mothers' day. To all ma maz out there, please enjoy the day =)

WEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

School is finally and offically over for year 3... After I handed in the last report of the year for bs310. Was very relieved to dump the report into the box cos I never thought that I will be able to even do the report.

So a huge thank you to Zhanrui and Xingyi =) you guys jia you for your lab ya... =)

Shifted back from hostel to home le. My dear bedroom looked like a maze now.. damn messy. Must really take time out to sort out the stuff I want to keep and the stuff I feel like dumping. Seriously, I wonder if I should keep all the lecture notes? Since they are taking up a huge part of my floor and.. aiyo.. not sure if I'm gonna flip through them again.

Went to SPH for Wen hua ying's meeting =) Saw my friends again! It has been a long time since I sat down and gossip with them =P this time about our dear princess. Wonder if she found out that I'm going for the china trip? it really amazed me when she asked me if she could bunk in with me in china. It's not like we were close friends.. or even friends. HAiz.

Chatted with Yiwei about the elections, realised that we both supported the same side. HAhaha.. cannot say. What if my house has no electricity supply for 1 month???

Went to meet Shimei at PS. We planned to join a scrapbooking class held in Love in an Attice. IT's a heaven for scrapbookers I must say. But it also makes me realise that it is an expensive hobby. >.< Anyway, we didn't manage to squeeze into the crowded class. Went for dinner with my boyfriend and decided to drop the idea of attending the class after waiting for 1 hour plus plus plus. Shimei still insisted on going for the class =) she gave me some of her own creations when she came and look for me at Kinokuniya!! =)

Thanks ya SHimei!! =) I really like them, esp the red one =P

And Xiaohan got me a job at SPH. =) Will be starting tomorrow. Hopefully the people there are nice. Hopefully I don't give them trouble. Hope...

2nd last day day in hall....

1 final paper left tomorrow...

before I
1) do the dumb final 310 lab report
2) shift out of hall
3) earn money
4) watch tv till my eyes drop
5) meet up with friends
6) go muchuan
7) move my fingers again
8) prepare for wen hua ying
9) blah blah blah..

Suddenly I realised that I won't be meeting up my uni friends much.. most of them are going for internships or stuck in school's lab. So that they can earn more lab experience.

Not me. I'm not that great after all. REally. Neither do I have the patience and passion to keep me going.Nope. Not the type who can face bacteria or yeast or model organisms or virus for donkey years. Not the type who can store so much theory as well.. (unfortunately)

Should I ever enter the science line it's gonna be health science. Where I can interact with humans. I believe human interactions can keep people sane and a sort of balance. Esp when you stay in hall. Can you imagine you have no one to talk to after school..?

Life can be much simpler ba. Putting all the paper chase and coporate titles aside.

I just want to earn enough money to go overseas yearly, keep a few hobbies going, able to buy clothes, give parents.. Good enough.

stuck in hall on labour day. Still need to labour for 2 more exams.

Elder brother graduated from exams le. Hope he finds a job that he wants soon =)
